Voting packs in your letterbox

By now, most members should have received their voting packs in the mail.

The Australian Electoral Commission is posting them out of Melbourne today, so members will start receiving them over the next week.

On 22 July 2019 the Fair Work Commission approved various alterations to the proposed rules of the United Workers Union. You can download a copy of the decision and the final version of the altered rules here.

Proposed Amalgamation – NUW & United Voice

On 8 May 2019, the National Union of Workers and United Voice filed an application with the Fair Work Commission for submission of amalgamation to ballot.

From July 24 – August 28, you’ll have the opportunity to have your say about building a new union with United Voice and the National Union of Workers (NUW).

It’s official! We now have approval to put the proposal for a new union – the United Workers Union – to a vote of all members.
